beautyMakeup on the Clock

By Mariève Inoue

The holidays can be a very stressful season—between the party-prepping, gift-shopping and family events, it can be hard to find time for yourself, and even more to make yourself look glamorous before a big event. That's why we've got a guide to getting a flawless face in five minutes flat. Ready, set? Go!

Start with a clean, moisturized face.

Step 1: Concealer

Cover up dark under eye circles, blemishes, zits, and any skin imperfections with a liquid concealer as close as possible to your natural skin tone.

Step 2: Eye Shadow

Choose a shadow in a nude colour (light beige, for example) and apply it using your index finger, stopping just a little bit higher than the crease. A shimmery shadow is a nice touch for a holiday makeup look.

Note: If you can afford it time-wise, line your eyes with a brown kohl pencil as close to your lash line as possible (which will look more natural than black), to open up your eye.

Step 3: Mascara

Choose a volumizing mascara and apply:

* two coats to your top lashes (without letting them dry in between)

* one coat to the ends of your lower lashes

Step 4: Blush

Using your fingers, apply a cream or stick formula blush to:

* the apples of your cheeks
* your lips

Step 5: Lip Gloss

Dab a bit of clear or sheer, coloured lip gloss to the middle of your bottom lip, then spread to the rest of your mouth.

And voilà, a flawless face in, or under, five minutes!
